Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your Mother. We were very close friends of Lesley's Mom and Dad and the family. We have many happy memories of times at the Lake, the many fall corn roasts and Christmas celebrations. Our sincerest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Edna Rendle and family (Close friend) on: Sep 08, 2014

  • To Spencer, Cameron, and Stacy Your Mother was an awesome unique woman. She was very proud of you all. I haven't seen you for years, but I know all your achievements, activities, adventures, about your life partners, and your children over the years. You all were her favourite topic of conversation. We will all miss her and her spirited ways, and she will be remembered for the good times her adventures travelling and of course the wonderful soup stone. - Posted by: Donna Pacholok (Friend ) on: Aug 29, 2014

  • I was Lesley's Travel Agent for years and I am so saddened to read of her passing...I just spoke to her a few weeks ago before I left for holidays and we were supposed to have dinner when I got back..I am so shocked to hear of this.....She loved to travel and was so knowledgable in everywhere she travelled. I will miss her phone calls and keen sense of humour..May she rest in peace.... - Posted by: Bev Harbour (Lesley's Travel Agent) on: Aug 29, 2014

  • To Spencer, Cameron and Stacey. I was great friends with your Mom in our early teen aged years. We attended the same school (Robert Andrews) and lived not too far from each other on Henderson Hwy. We hung out after school together, talked for hours on the phone every evening and, most of all, were Beatles fans together. Great times and a great friend!! I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy to you and your families. Janice McMechan, Ottawa - Posted by: Janice McMechan (childhood friend) on: Aug 27, 2014

  • Your mother and I were inseparable childhood friends from age eight to ten, normally after school and on the weekends. She was seven months older and a grade above me, which in those early years played a large part in whether you remained friends. We had moved in across Henderson Hwy from Everett and Della Mulder and of course that's how I met your mother. We had so much fun together as kids...we'd make forts in the house, snow igloos in the winter, play hopscotch at the lake in the summer, read and share comic books together and have sleep overs at each others homes. Years passed and our lives went in different directions, but we never completely lost track of each other. I still treasure an unposed picture your mother took of my fiance at the time and myself while visiting your mom and her parents at their Falcon Lake cottage. Even in our later years, we continued to touch base every once in a while through a phone call or getting together for a bite to eat. I am so sorry to hear of Lesley's death...my deepest condolences! - Posted by: Terry Wiebe (nee Vanderhorst) (childhood friend) on: Aug 24, 2014
