Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYALL WILLIAM ALLEN Lyall William Allen, husband of the late Kathleen (Kay) Allen, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Boundary Trails Health Centre. Lyall was born June 12, 1920 in Carman, MB to Bill and Frances Allen. Lyall and Kay married in 1944. Lyall farmed their entire life in the Barnsley Area until they decided to take life easier so they could enjoy their golfing, hunting, card playing and listening to old time music. During his younger years besides farming he served as trustee on the Elm Creek School Board for six years, trustee for the Elm Creek Roman Catholic for eight years, and served on the Carman Fair board for 10 years. He was also proud to have organized and ran the Carman Gun and Hobby Show for 20 years. Lyall spent the last few years of his life in the Boyne Lodge. (His special home) He is survived by four daughters; Margaret (Ron) Franzmann, Frances (Wayne) Aune, Barbara (Mike) Mayer, Cathie (Trevor) Smith; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two brothers and their spouses and two sisters and their spouses plus numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Carman, MB with Father Lawrence Agorchukwu officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery Columbarium, Carman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boyne Lodge Capital Fund, Box 1644, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0.
