VICTOR GEORGE YEO March 4, 1944 - August 22, 2014 With heavy hearts the family of Victor George Yeo announce his passing on Friday, August 22, 2014 after a brief but intense battle with cancer at the age of 70 years. Victor will be deeply missed by his loving wife Donna (nee Bowman) of 48 years. Three children: Tracey (David) Unrau of Stonewall, MB; Tammy (Jordon) Slugoski of Creighton, Saskatchewan; Travis (Jody) of Marquette, MB. He will be missed by his five precious grandsons: Curtis, Bryce Unrau, Owen, Connor and Reid Slugoski. Victor was predeceased by his parents Percy and Jessie Yeo. Victor was born March 4, 1944 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, shortly there after Victor and his parents moved to Stonewall, MB. Victor spent his school years in Stonewall and then as a young man began working for Manitoba Hydro but then followed his friends to a career in insulating in 1963. Victor worked for ACNS insulating, Western Industrial Services and then in 1990 he started his own company Vida Insulation with his co-partner Dave Willoughby. His passion was insulating but if he ever had free time he loved fishing, going to the cabin, doing odd jobs in his workshop and taking the grandsons for tractor/quad rides. At the age of 63 years in 2007 Victor retired and travelled to Tucson Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, BC and all over Manitoba with his wife. Pallbearers will be grandsons Curtis and Bryce Unrau, cousins Bob and Barry Hudyma, Mark Yeo, God child Cameron Dickens. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home 433 Main Street Stonewall, MB. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Southwest District Palliative Care Box 1282 Stonewall or the Anglican Church, Box 550 Stonewall, MB, R0C 2Z0.
