Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREINHOLD WILLIAM WEIND November 20, 1921 - June 6, 2014 Roy was born in Winnipeg and passed away peacefully at George Derby Veteran's Home in British Columbia. His first wife Louise, and second wife Florence predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Garry) and son Ray (Lauren), his grandchildren Louise (Lane), Jim (Mandi), Dionne, Derek and Jenna, his great-grandchildren Nikki, Andrew, Dylan, Mackenzie and Jaxon, his former spouse Marta, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a Scout leader with the 113 Scout Troop in Winnipeg, Seven Oaks Division for many years. Roy served in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Engineers and received the Military Medal for Bravery in Action. Roy worked for the C.P.R. as a blacksmith in the Winnipeg yards. He retired at 50 to his property on Macara Lake, Ingolf, ON. He spent the last 20 years in Vancouver enjoying his grandchildren and family. Interment will take place on Friday, September 5 at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, at 3:15 p.m. (Please meet in front of the cemetery office). Memorial service will be on Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
