ABRAM (ABE) LOEWEN
Born: Jan 12, 1934
Date of Passing: Aug 31, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAM (ABE) LOEWEN January 12, 1934 - August 31, 2014 The family is very saddened to announce the passing of our dad and grandpa. Dad peacefully slipped away from us in the care of Riverview Health Centre. Left to keep his memory alive are his children: Wendy Loewen; Diana McLachlan (and her daughter Kayla); Wayne Loewen (and wife Pam and their children Wyatt and Tyrul Loewen, Josée and Mathieu Lavoie); sister Tina Penner (John); and his loving friend and companion Helen Riha. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Connie. Abe was born into a large family in Neuhorst Village, Manitoba and grew up on a farm around the Gretna area before moving to Winnipeg. Dad worked at Marshall Wells in sales for most of his career. He loved to barbecue and cook for his family. He enjoyed singing and playing country songs on the guitar and later in life loved camping in the Whiteshell when he bought a new trailer. The family thanks the staff at Riverview and Deer Lodge Centre for the care, comfort and compassion they provided. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Abe's memory to Riverview Health Centre Foundation, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 2P4. Diana, Kayla, Wayne, Pam, Helen and families, very sorry to hear of the passing of your Father and Grandfather and Dearest friend. Your father was always a very easy person to talk to at the lake. He sure loved coming out and spending time with everyone and we enjoyed Helen and his company especially around the fires. He will be missed. - Posted by: The Dureaults (Friends) on: Sep 03, 2014
