HAZEL BERYTHE BEATTIE August 3, 1919 - August 25, 2014 Peacefully, shortly after celebrating her 95th birthday, Mom slipped away releasing her spirit to return home and be reunited with her husband Chubbie; her parents Bill and Tillie Corrigal; her sisters Audrey and Edith and a daughter-in-law Judy. She is survived by three sons: Donald (Patti), James (Carol) and Bradley (Dianne) as well as five grandchildren: Gregory (Dana), Heather (Stuart), Neil (Karen), Nicole (Chris) and Trevor and five great-grandchildren: Kassidy Lynn, TJ, Gavin, Emma and Julie. The family would like to thank the staff at Walker Rd. Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Praire for their care in making Mom's last year so enjoyable. A celebration of Mom's life will take place at the Oakbank United Church on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 pm. A private family interment will take place on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's name to either the Alzheimer's Society or the WWF, two of her favorite charities.   • We had the privilege of knowing Hazel through the Dugald Costume Museum where she spent many years volunteering. What a wonderful, kind and patient person with a heart of gold!
