RENE DAVID DAVIDSON September 30, 1946 - September 5, 2014 Peacefully, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, René passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, September 5, 2014, at the age of 67 years. René is survived by his loving wife, Marge, of 47 years; daughter Michelle and son Duane (Melanie); grandchildren Blaine, Owen, Taylor and Carlynn; as well as by his younger brother John (Mary) of Sarnia, Ontario. Born in Fort Frances, Ontario, René grew up and completed his high school education, he then moved to Winnipeg to continue his education and join the work force. René worked 29 years for Revenue Canada and retired from there in 2007. He enjoyed travelling, spending time out at the trailer, playing golf, reading and mostly spending time with friends and family. René's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Rev. Don McIntyre, presider. Ash interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. We would like to thank Dr. Kati and staff at the Primacy Regent Medical Clinic, Dr. Lipschitz and the staff at Health Sciences Centre, in Adult Emergency, GH3, GA3, and Palliative Care.
