EWALD (EDWARD) TYSLAU It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edward Tyslau, after his courageous battle with cancer. On Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the age of 81 years in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side, Edward was called to be with our Lord and passed loved ones. Left to forever cherish Edward's memory are his wife of 61 years Doris; children Ellie Hackie (Larry), Ed (Janet), Ron, Carol Lashmar (Guy), Darren (Esmer), Richard (Cheryl); as well as twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who all gave him great joy. Ed enjoyed a successful career in retail where he met many life-long friends and had the opportunity to travel worldwide with the love of his life. In his retirement, Ed enjoyed feeding the birds, cheering on the Jets, discussing politics, and lunches out with his buddies. On Thursday, September 11, 2014 Edward's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn, presider. A private family interment will be held in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A special thanks to the Palliative Care Nurses for their dedication and support in caring for Ed at home, and to the staff at CancerCare. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
