VICTORIA (VICKIE) TURCHYN (nee PITURA) Victoria passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Ste. Anne Hospital. She is survived by her son David of Hadashville and his children Brittany, Rebecca, Katelyn and Dylan, son Vernon (Crystal) of Lethbridge, AB and their children Brandon, Kane, Chloe, Claudia Toree (her namesake), Hudson, Hollister and baby Charlee-Grace and daughter Marlene (Cordell) Shears and their children Angela, Tristen and Evan of Sparwood, BC and their grandsons Lucas and Damian (Angela). She is also survived by one brother Albin (Rita). She was predeceased by her husband Michael (1992), son Raymond (1972), grandmother Anne, parents Michael and Mary as well as her sister Elsie She was a devoted wife and mother, raising a family and loving her children was a top priority. She enjoyed picnics or a trip to the beach or a day at the fair. She loved to cook and sew and took great pride in her garden. She had a great sense of humour which she instilled in the Turchyn family and future generations. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hadashville with interment to follow in the Medika Cemetery. Prayers will be sung on Friday, September 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
