LAWRENCE (LARRY) THOMPSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Papa, Brother and Uncle Lawrence (Larry) Thompson on Saturday, September 6th, 2014. Larry passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital, with his family by his side, at the age of 72. Larry was predeceased by his mother, Helen, and father, Robert. He leaves his wife Diana, son Edward, daughter-in-law Brenda, grandchildren Matthew and Lauren, sister Margaret, brother-in-law Carl, and numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. Employed as a banker, he spent many of his working years in the Prairie Provinces before retiring. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his friends and family, and especially his grandchildren, the light of his life. Papa, we love you so very much, and will miss you more than words could say. Dad, we picked out a book for you. I hope you enjoy it. You have read it a zillion times. Following cremation, and according to his wishes, a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Manitoba Lung Association in his memory.
