ROBERT MOORE 1925 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our father, grandfather and great grandfather. On September 10th at the St. Boniface Hospital, Bob left us to rejoin the love of his life, Lois Moore (wife). He was the father to Cary May (Gerald), Rick (predeceased), Mike, Shannon (Bryan), Wendy and grandfather to Kevin May, Melanie Janzen (Matt) and great grandfather to Kaitlyn and Chase Janzen. He also leaves behind many friends, colleagues and extended family. A special thanks to his close friends Peter and Bev Bannerman who were a big support in the past months. He was passionate about helping children through the scouts movement and later through his love of stamp collecting, was able to inspire youth to his lifelong hobby. At Dad's request, cremation has taken place and a private interment was held for immediate family. Being proud of his Irish heritage, Dad would be pleased if you would raise a glass in his honor. In Bob's memory any donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Care. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Bob was a close friend of my parents Vic and Lorna Ellis. I meet Bob when I moved to Winnipeg 8 years ago. Bob and I tried to get together on his birthday and he was always quick with a joke and a smile. He will be missed by the Ellis family. - Posted by: Robert Ellis (family friend ) on: Sep 24, 2014

  • I was active in Scouting through the many years that Bob was employed with Scouts Canada and saw him as a very caring mentor and friend. I had the privilege of sharing the responsibility with Bob to take 10 Manitoba youth to 18th Scottish Jamborette, Blair Atholl, Scotland in 1982, and I still marvel at the administration he did to make that trip and its tours possible. In spite of some of the challenges that Bob had, he always offered such a positive attitude with humor and praise. A true Scouter has gone home. - Posted by: Lorne F. • Even though Bob and I had not spoken in quite a few years I thought of him often and the fun we had while working in Scouting. A great guy who will be missed. - Posted by: cuttingt@mts.net (Friend in Scouting) on: Sep 16, 2014

  • We all raise a glass to the fine Irishman. Condolences to all of the family. We were in some part friends, co-workers, team mates and fellow Irishman. May he Rest Peacefully. - Posted by: Tara, Kelly and the Sutherland Family (Friends) on: Sep 16, 2014

  • I will raise a glass in Roberts' name in tribute to a great man who raised some great kids. RIP. - Posted by: Russell Morden (friend of Wendy) on: Sep 14, 2014
