Bob met Sherman @ Riverview after their strokes. They would knock on the wall to say Goodnight. Later I (Kathy) would meet Sherman & Karen too. What a lovely couple. We enjoyed visiting with them & we regretted that we had no way to get out to Gimli to visit them there. We will miss Sherman but are glad he's free of illness now. God bless you, Karen & your family. - Posted by: Bob & Kathy Harris ( Friends) on: Sep 21, 2014

The Soft Spoken Thinker Yes a soft spoken man he truly was. Yet when needed he was heard. He was a gentle guy who would help anybody. He was always either working on or fixing something. Sherman thought before he spoke a skill we should all have. My fondest memories are from the times we ((he and I ) spent together trying to teach him about computers and to help him fix his errors. We would laugh with each other each time he would say I am too old for this..and I would reply we are only a year apart...I don't feel too old...we would laugh if we were stuck resolving an issue. Sherman, was always a happy man. His smile made anyone feel at home with him. He cared for people, he enjoyed the out doors, and he enjoyed company. When Sherman had his stroke...he was determined to get back to normal. Yet he accepted the drawbacks, the downfalls and the unknown. I remember the sparkle in his eyes when we talked about our children. His two boys and his two girls. One of his daughters Sheila became our daughter's best friend from a very early age. At times Sherman and I would just sit back smile at the two of them. Sherman, always thought very highly of our daughter Karen and enjoyed her company. We loved Sheila like a daughter. He was always ready to talk to our boys and to Karen, and they enjoyed his friendship and his kind words. Sherman, you will be missed terribly but we will never lose our memories of you. I sure hope they have easy working computers in heaven just for you. May you rest in peace - Posted by: Marilyn Johnson (Long Time Friend) on: Sep 20, 2014

Our deepest condolences to Karen and Family. I met Sherman during our "stint" at Riverview and with Stu we were the 3 Amigos. We got into so much "trouble" that the staff just shook their heads when they saw us together. Sherman, my friend, you have come a long way from those days and you will be sadly missed by all. Rest in peace, Amigo!!!! Love, Kerry, Ken and Shannon - Posted by: Kerry Forsyth (Friend) on: Sep 20, 2014

I truly miss him, but take heart in knowing he is out of pain. One of my very best, best friends.
