JOYCE EILEEN HILDEBRAND (nee LAIDLAW) July 16, 1932 - September 13, 2014 On September 13, 2014 Joyce, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully passed away at Grace Hospital. Joyce went home to meet her loving Savior who met her with open arms. Her life was blessed with four children, Wendy (Bill) Schaefer, Gail (Dave) Guille, Ken (Patti) Hildebrand, Tara (John) Traynor, her 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was loved and shared many fond times with her sisters Gerry, Gladys and several nieces and nephews. She had many close friends she considered family. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1984, whom she was happily married to for 32 years, and as well her sister Dorothy Born. A private family burial will take place. A memorial service, to celebrate Joyce Hildebrand's life, will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Ness Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Avenue at 11:00 a.m. All who loved Joyce are welcome to attend. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of the 3rd floor of the Grace Hospital for the loving care they provided for Joyce. Joyce's heart-felt passion was for babies and children. She loved knitting baby hats and blankets for premature babies/maternity ward at the St. Boniface hospital. She also took any opportunity to contribute to her church food bank for those in need. She enjoyed the company of fellow knitters at Helping Hands. In lieu of flowers donations can be given to The St. Boniface Prenatal/Maternity ward or the Ness Avenue Food Bank. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
