BETTY SIMMONS Betty Simmons passed away September 15, on her mother's birthday. She loved her children (Patricia, David and Christopher) and grandchildren (Neal, Caroline, Joseph and Jessica) to the day she died. Betty was born in London, England and survived the war to marry, have three children, and immigrate here. She was proud to become a citizen of Canada. After being independent for many years, she moved to Tuxedo Villa. She was happiest when she had visitors. We are very grateful for the care, affection, and attention she received from all the wonderful people there. Betty celebrated her ninetieth birthday this summer. Her son, David, made it magical with a glorious boat ride at Fort Whyte and a fabulous family dinner. The picture taken that day shows her sparkling with love, excitement and happiness. After David went home to England, she was ready and died with dignity and grace. Her sister-in-law Betsy Boulter, and her niece Susan Boulter and husband Myron Pawlowsky and their children Alex and Adriana mourn the loss of this gallant, brave and wonderful woman. A funeral service will be held September 24 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 3 St. Vital Rd. Pallbearers will be Myron, Alex, and Adriana Pawlowsky. Betty asked donations be made to Osborne House, which was so helpful in her time of need. Desjardins 233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
