ALLAN EDWARD ANDREST September 11, 1947 September 17, 2014 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Allan Andrest, who passed away September 17, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital with his wife at his side. He was predeceased by his father Edward in 1987, his mother Anne in 2012, and brother-in-law Derry Cardey in 2004. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Christine, daughter Jennifer Coram (Jeff), granddaughter Madison Coram, brothers Brian (Cindy) and Chris, sister-in-law Marjorie Cardey, nieces and nephews Lisa and Phillip (Karen) Rivest, Brent Andrest, Jill Cardey (Sara Inness), Jeff (Celine) Cardey, great-nieces and nephews Eric Miller, Andrew and Ashley Inness, and Luc Cardey-Delorme. Allan was raised in East Kildonan and went to Neil Campbell, John Henderson and Miles Mac schools. He worked at Cascade (formerly Continental Can Co.) as a printer for 37 and a half years retiring in June of 2007. Special thanks to the home care team Elke, Maureen, Ola, and Carrie, and the palliative care staff at St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre. Cremation has already taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Allan's name to the MS Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Al will be sadly missed by the girls he worked with at Cascades. We will alway remember him for his big smile, hearty laugh and wonderful conversation. He loved his family very much and spoke of them often.
