Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARRY DOYLE June 4, 1934 - September 13, 2014 You came into my life on August 24, 1974 when you married my mom, Trudy Sadlo. On that day you became "Dad". You taught me to tell time on a clock with no numbers, how to drive and of course you were my high school English teacher. It was quite the bee business. You worked with the bees and did the heavy lifting, mom made the frames and the sugar solution to feed the bees and she did the extracting since she liked the high temperatures better than you did. I even got involved by making the posters to hang around town and helping to sell the local honey while you were both out at the honey house all day. I became a pharmacist because you thought it would be a good career for me. It has been, thank you. You walked me down the aisle at my wedding and my children called you "Grandpa Garry". We supported each other when mom was sick with cancer and after she passed away in 2003. We had many good years together and I will cherish them always. Good bye Dad. Love, Kim Ortwein

Kimberly Ann Sadlo: I'd be surprised if you remember me. But I was one of the boarders your mom had on Dorchester and Mulvey avenues in Winnipeg. Along with Robert van Hooke and Yvonne (I think it was, and her son, was it Chad?) and her husband. I was just looking around the internet today and looked up your mom's name and sadly seen she has passed; and Garry too. Sorry to hear this. Garry was also my teacher when he taught in Selkirk. And I also remember your moms wedding in the church on Harrow; Sharon (my wife) and I were there. Anyway, If you get this, our belated condolences and hi. - Posted by: Larry Taylor (Friend / boarder) on: Apr 08, 2025
