Marlon was predeceased by his wife Sheila Boen, four sisters, Lila Beam, Cora Haslund, Bernetta Tilbert and Vera Dreeshen, and three brothers, Johnnie, Gordon and Allen Boen. Survived by his children Shawna Turner (Darren) and Sandra Henault (Rick), and grandchildren Devyn and Lindsay Turner, and Isabel Henault. He will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Edna Stennis and Irene Orr, two brothers, Eugene (Marie) and Dennis (Thelma), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Norma Taylor and brother-in-law Jack Hughes and families. Marlon was a master barber at his shop in Winnipeg International Airport from 1960 to 1985 until he was unable to renew his lease, and his physical limitation due to Muscular Dystrophy prevented him from continuing his work in a career that he loved. During those years he cut and groomed many sports icons, politicians and a dedicated clientele who traveled through the airport. He will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and Woodhaven neighbours where Marlon could be found providing advice and a helping hand with various home renovations and car repairs. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have Marlon in our life as a result of the marriage of our son Rick to his daughter Sandra. Marlon was always very gracious, kind and welcoming and one of the most patient and adaptable people that we have had the pleasure of knowing. He was also an inspiration to all in the way that he made family a number-one priority in his life and in the manner in which he dealt with his own health challenges. Marlon will always be remembered fondly for the exemplary life that he led and will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
