Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA THOMAS (EWERING) 1921 - 2014 With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Maria Thomas on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her loving husband Rudolf, and eight siblings. Maria will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Louise and Rita (Charlie), grandchildren Angela (Tim), Kurt, Tanya (Dara) and Lindsay (Darby), and great-grandchildren Kirsten, Conrad, Cameron, Ryan, Erin, Sadie Mia and Jack. Maria is the Matriarch of the family. She is the last survivor of her generation and second youngest of eight siblings in her family. Maria will be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends. Memorial service will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception will follow. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for all of their attention and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
