We regret to announce that after his long battle with his illness, our beloved father passed away in the grace of the Lord on September 18, 2014 at Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his loving eldest son, Vivencio D. Torres Jr, sisters Isabel Nocum and Anita Ramelo. He is survived by his loving wife Narcisa Torres, his sister Felicidad Pasamonte of the Philippines, children Josephine Bedruz (Nestor), Emelda Nucom (Jaime), Gerardo Torres (Conchita), daughter-in-law Concepcion Torres, grandchildren Rommel Torres (Riza), Maria Baker (Dwight), Maria Theresa Wiebe Herbert (Wade), Chris Torres (Scott), Jonie Austria (Chris), Neri Ann, Patrick, Mark Nucom (Janice), Jason Nucom (Andy), Jaimel, Alyza, Ryan and Melvin; great-grandchildren Vince, Arriana, Jon, Arrah, Joshua, Jhoden, Levi, Xavier, Isabel, Nolan and Damon, numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren in the Philippines. He will be missed by close family and friends here and back home in the Philippines. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 26, with prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Funeral service and interment will be held on Saturday, September 27 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. We, the bereaved family wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at HSC-GD3 who in one way or another took care of him during his stay at the hospital.
