In 1988 Carol began her new career as receptionist at the Evergreen School Division Board Office, and in 1992 she moved to a Secretarial position at Gimli Elementary School. Since 1993 Carol worked at Riverton Collegiate and made many lasting friendships along the way. Carol married the love of her life, David, on June 2, 1984 and lived in Winnipeg, moving to Rembrandt in 1987. To their great joy their son Scott was born on December 16, 1988. Carol was a delight to work with for the seven years we were colleagues. She always had a smile, and kind word. When she had work to do, she did it professionally and with great competence. She was an important part of a very good educational team. And everyone was very fond of her. - Posted by: Wally Johannson (Colleague at Riverton Collegiate) on: Sep 29, 2014

Carol always had a smile and friendly disposition and I always enjoyed running in to her in Arborg and catching up. She will be truly missed! I met Carol when we worked together at RCI, and she was always friendly and helpful. Over the past years, we often ran into each other at the Arborg post office, where we'd have a chat and a laugh. I'll really miss that. Sincere condolences to David, Scott and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Wanda Sparkes (Friend) on: Sep 27, 2014

David and Scott, Grace, Kathleen and Ann and families, I was saddened and in shock when I read that Carol had passed away. There are so many good memories of my friendship with her and the many many lunch breaks we girls used to spend together in high school. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. She was a dear friend and may she rest in peace.
