PATRICIA KUCH (nee EYJOLFSSON) March 17, 1925 - September 19, 2014 Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, September 19, 2014, Patricia "Pat" Kuch passed away surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband Erich. She was a loving mother to son Eric (Jennifer Cuddy) and daughter Signy (Hugh Swandel) and a proud grandmother to Elska and Stefan. She is also survived by her sister Doris Mayer of Vancouver and her nephews and nieces Greg and Cyndi Eyjolfsson and Paul, Lorna and Jeff Mayer. Pat was predeceased by her parents Emilia and Asvaldur (Valdi) Eyjolfsson, brother Asvaldur (Bro), and special aunt Sigga. Thank you to the exceptional staff of Wards 5E and 4E at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care over the last weeks and to the caring home care professionals who helped her over the summer. Beautiful, kind, intelligent, caring, strong, independent and stylish! Patsy will be dearly missed. In accordance with Pat's wishes, no service will be held; private family interment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. A genuine and wonderful person, memories of whom warm my heart. From early years at Engineer Lake and Clearwater Bay where spending time in Auntie Pat's company are gentle and comforting recollections. In my mother Gwen's vivid stories, her long enduring friendship and love of Pat always shone through brightly.
