Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALERIE (WYNTINA) MATHESON (nee RAPKE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Valerie (Wyntina) Matheson on September 24, 2014. She will be deeply missed by her children Wayne (Pattie), Cleora and Valerie, grandchildren Kimberley, Christopher, Steven, Gregory, Melissa, Wayne, Mark, Nicole, Jay and Chantal, along with 13 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister Lilly, sisters-in-law Mae, Helen and Edna, and many nieces, nephews and cousins along with friends across Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Angus, parents Godfreid and Anna, brothers Louis and Walter, sisters Elsie, Esther, Hilda and Johanna, sons-in-law Jim and Dave, sister-in-law Peggy and nephew Gary. Mom was a very caring, considerate and thoughtful person who found something good in everyone she met. She always found time and energy to help those in need. Special thanks to Dr. Griggs and all the staff on 3 North at Oakview Place for their kindness and care of our mother. Service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations can be made to a charity of their choice. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
