Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET WALDHAUSER 1937 - 2014 Peacefully with John by her side, after a long and courageous battle with MS, Margaret passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in St. Norbert Personal Care Home at the age of 77 years. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 56 years, John, two sons Ken (Moira), Dave (Sheryl), grandchildren Heather, Andrew, Katrina and Dale. She will also be sadly missed by her brother John, sisters-in-law Shirley and Kay, nephews Jim and Jeff, nieces Kelly and Karen, and extended family and friends. Mom grew up in Montreal and Noyan, Quebec. She started her professional career as a registered nurse at Montreal General Hospital. Soon after she married John and started a family. John's career took her to many places including Maine, New York and across Canada. Arriving in Winnipeg in 1977, Mom joined Deer Lodge Veteran's Hospital and became a head nurse on 4 South. After their retirement they enjoyed many trips to Florida, cheering on the Goldeyes, the Red-hatters get togethers and time spent with their grandchildren and family. Mom was an avid reader, great cook and loved entertaining. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home, Dr. Miller, Dr. Frame, and the numerous care givers for their outstanding care and compassion.
