Mum was born in Poplar Point, MB. She attended school in numerous places and ended at Lake Francis which she referred to as "God's Country". Mum started work at a young age for Mr. and Mrs. Fleury where she was treated like family. Later she went to work in Winnipeg until she married Donald MacMillan on October 31, 1933 and settled on the old MacMillan farm. Due to Donald's failing health they moved in 1974 to a house trailer in her daughters yard where Mum stayed until she moved to Tudor House in Selkirk in 2010 and then on to Rosewood Personal Care Home in Stonewall where she had many friends and visitors. The family wishes to thank the staff of Tudor House and Rosewood Personal Care Home for their ongoing care and attention to Mum's needs. Memorial service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall. Grace cherished her friends and relatives. We would be proud to call them all her honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in her honour to Meadow Lea United church. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • So sad to hear about Aunt Grace passing. We stopped in for a visit with her this summer...about a week after her 103rd birthday. It was always a pleasure to talk with her. Aunt Grace was a true sweetheart and will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will remain forever in our hearts. - Posted by: Will and Joanne Oliver (Nephew) on: Oct 01, 2014
