Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRIEDA ELSIE RUSSELL Peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Ashern Personal Care Home, Frieda Elsie Russell, aged 94 years formerly of Moosehorn, MB passed away. Mom is survived by her daughter Sharon (Louis) Cote, daughter-in-law Shirley Russell, son-in-law Henry Schulz, grandchildren Kirby (Celina), Kim (Jim), Lee (Shawn), Shaena (Lance), Danielle, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Elma Fierback, brother Edward (Margaret) Semler, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Hugo, daughter Anita and son Donald, parents Ewald and Emma Semler, siblings Jean, William, Gus, Albert, Leonard and Walter, sons-in-law Loren Dewar and Norman Pischke. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at a viewing to be held between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Moosehorn Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Andrews officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Moosehorn Baptist Cemetery. A special thanks to all the home care workers at the senior's residence and the staff at the Ashern Personal Care Home who went beyond what was required or expected and gave Mom an enjoyment and quality of life in her last years. Also not enough thanks can be given to Dr. Emadi and the nurses of the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern. Mom went to her rest knowing she was loved by family, friends and her Saviour. I boarded with Hugo and Frieda back around 1975 -76. They made me feel more like family than a boarder, and it is hard to think of them as nothing less. Frieda was "Mom" to me in those years. I am sorry that I just now (late 2018) came across the fact that Frieda passed in 2014 , and that none of the family that I knew may see this (Anita?, Sharon) to be able to express my sensere condolences.
