Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANE JEANNE PICARD The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Diane Picard (nee Desilets), on September 27, 2014 with loved ones by her side. She was 88 years of age. Mom will be reunited with Dad (Alfred Joseph Picard) who passed away on September 12, 2014. After almost 68 years of marriage their love will forever endure. Mom will be greatly missed by children Roger (Helene), Gerry (Kim), Lloyd (Donna), Jacqueline (Richard) and grandchildren Rachelle, Joel, Laurenne, Madison, Carson, Dennis, Claire, Danielle and Matthew. Also left to mourn are sisters Therese, Georgette, Rolande (Glen) and brother Pete (Marthe). Mom was predeceased by parents Marie-Anne and Hector Desilets; siblings Lionel, Richard, Idola, Jeanette, Gilbert and George. Mom was born in Elie, MB where she grew up surrounded by a large family and numerous friends. Here she met Dad, the love of her life and was married on September 25, 1946. Mom spent the next several years loving and raising a family both while on the farm in Fortier and later after having moved to Winnipeg. Mom began work at The Bay then onto Sears where she had great friends and many laughs. More than anything Mom was proud of her family. She never let an opportunity go by where she could speak lovingly of her children and especially the grandchildren, even to complete strangers. Nana we will always miss you and your hugs! The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital, 5 North. Mom was so grateful for the kindness shown to her. Funeral Mass to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3 at John XXIII Roman Catholic Church. Per wishes, no reception to be held. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

To Fred's and Diane's family so sorry for your loss may, you be comforted by the thought that they are in their rightful place enjoying each other. God is the all merciful. Diane & Fred displayed their courage into their final days.
