Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANITA RITA BUCKOSKI September 16, 1931 - September 21, 2014 Peacefully, on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Abbottsford Hospital in British Columbia, surrounded by family. She passed away while visiting relatives in British Columbia. Anita will be remembered by her children, Grant (Kathleen), Dale Ducharme (Marcel), Glen, Dean and Kim (Bruce); her brothers Archie Lavallee of Abbotsford, BC and Marc Lavallee (Diane); her sister Gloria Bauer; her brother-in-law Robert (Rosalie) of Parrsboro, NS; her sister-in-law Sally; grandchildren Michael Ducharme, Brad (Tannis) and Michelle; great-grandchild Brodie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her husband Walter; her parents Leo and Stella; her sister Claire, and her brother Dennis. Anita worked for United Garments for 30 years as office manager. After a short retirement she started a trophy and engraving business (Wes-K Trophy) with the help of Walter and Kim. Anita and Walter enjoyed many winter trips to Phoenix with Gloria and Eddie Bauer and Fred and Margaret Liebrecht. In recent years she enjoyed meeting school friends from Isaac Newton at an annual reunion. She also enjoyed the company of her cat "Poop". Anita will be remembered as a vibrant, cheerful, intelligent, and generous woman who made the best perogies and holubtsi. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anita may be made to the charity of choice. I just want to send my deepest sympathy to the Buckoski family, the Bauer family, and the Lavallee families in Winnipeg at this difficult time. I will miss her laugh and even her occasional scolding. A very classy women. I only got to see her a few times over the years but loved her laugh. I am proud to share the name of her husband (Walter). Just want to acknowledge the passing of your Aunt/Sister Anita. I have met her a few times in my life journey and thank God for this. Gloria, I know that you were very close as sisters and I know that you will miss her lots. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bauer family as you mourn the passing of your sister/Aunty.
