RANDY NAGEL December 28, 1958 September 30, 2014 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Randy after a valiant fight against cancer. He will be forever missed by his daughter Carly; granddaughter Shaylee; father Art; brothers: Rory (Betty), Ryan, Ricky (Jeanette), as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces and friends. He is now reunited with his mother Henrietta and brother Reece. Randy was a free spirit who enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer: the outdoors, camping, music, a good party, and spending time with people he cared about. He accepted his fate with great courage and his strength is an inspiration. A special thank you to the staff on the 3rd floor at Concordia Hospital, the care and compassion given by Candace, Cherry, Osman and Lavina was especially appreciated. As a family we are forever grateful to Ryan for being such a tremendous help and support to Randy, Carly and Shaylee. Honouring Randy's request, cremation and a private family gathering has taken place. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to CancerCare Manitoba 1160-675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. "Someone told me long ago, There's a calm before the storm, I know; It's been comin' for sometime. When it's over, so they say, It'll rain a sunny day." From our childhood memories of walking to school together Springfield Heights Elementary, and hanging out at North Kildonan Community Club, and enjoying so many good times of parties, when we were young and old together. • This whole family of boys lived a few doors down from us on Vryenhoek, and they were often back and forth at our house. I can still see Randy pulling the others in their wagon, with each of their names painted on it. My brother Brian would have been involved in their antics. My heart goes out to his family. Randy is gone all too soon. - Posted by: Moira Honey (Childhood neighbour) on: Oct 07, 2014

His picture, I see reminds me of all the good times at the lake, fishing me and my best friend and our families enjoyed together. This is how I remember things as the best times of my life. Randy was the hardest worker I knew, a devoted father and I loved him with all my heart. I'll see ya in the next life brother without tears and pain. With all my love. • Dear Carly. I am so sorry for your loss. Randy was one of the sweetest individuals on the planet. He was always kind and gentle and opened his home to many with a warm heart and with grace. He will be missed my many. He was so very proud of you and his grand daughter and there isn't anything he would not do for you. I have a bunch of music he made for me and as I listen to all these songs everyone seems to tell a story that is now his story. I will keep this music forever on my favourite playlist and your dad will forever live in my heart. Bless you, we lost a great person to a horrible disease. I am sure he is at peace reading some good novel and now he will be you guardian angel. - Posted by: Candis Militere (friend ) on: Oct 04, 2014
