AIDAN JAMES WILSON It is with deep shock and sadness that we announce the passing of Aidan James Wilson on September 30, 2014. Aidan will be lovingly remembered by his mother Marion, his siblings Sean and Sarah (Justin), his niece Bekka, and numerous relatives and friends. Aidan was predeceased by his father, Patrick John Wilson, and his grandparents. Aidan was born on April 11, 1985 in Winnipeg, MB. He attended Rockwood Elementary and Grant Park High School, where he had an active social life and excelled in football. After high school, Aidan found his passion in food, and was proud to receive his Red Seal certification in cooking. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and friends at Centerplate/MTS Centre, where he worked for the last 10 years. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be ever at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face And the rain fall softly on your fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the hollow of his hand. • Aidan. My dear, dear friend, I think of you often and wish I could call and talk to you. I miss you a lot! I still have the sweater you gave me I have kept it all these years. My heart aches that you're not here on earth anymore. I wish I could have taken all your pain away, and told you everything was going to be okay. You have such a big heart and deserved so much more out of life. I'm so incredibly sad you're gone. I love you Aidan. I hope to see you again, on the other side. • So many memories of growing up had you in the background or foreground. Although we traveled in different groups, you were such a kind soul. When I was being picked on, never did you join in. You will be missed. I truly wish that when I had ran into you downtown a few months back, we had talked for longer. - Posted by: Jenna Nelson (Went to Grant Park together) on: Oct 17, 2014

  • Our Sincere Sympathy to Aiden's family at this time and always. Aiden was always visited and was welcomed at our home on Hector. He was always polite and shy to smile. But when he did, his eyes twinkled. We are no longer in the city, and weren't able to attend his tribute. We heard it was beautiful and was well attended. Also the support that was received by his co-workers. What a tribute to a young man. As parents our hearts go out to your family, may your heart rest at peace with as Aiden. • We need more people like Aiden in this world. He was always loving, helpful, and respectful to everyone he dealt with. I have such fond memories of working with him. He never took a mood out on anyone and he treated everyone equally-with kindness and always a bit of good humour. Mrs. Wilson, you raised a wonderful boy. I am so so sorry for you and your family's loss. - Posted by: Bea (co-worker) on: Oct 08, 2014
