As a result of an enjoyable 4 months working with Janet, I became a huge fan of white and black spruce. - Posted by: Niels Bols (Summer student) on: Sep 26, 2015

Janet touched many lives including mine. I learned much from her as an informal colleague at WNRE. Spruce trees have never since looked ordinary. Her FIG project did trailblazing work on the complexity of changing ecosystems while teaching many students a wider view of biology. She was a terrific bridge partner, a fine lady and a loyal friend. - Posted by: Colin Gillespie (Friend and former colleague) on: Jun 27, 2015
