Born: Jun 29, 1949
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH ANNE MCNEILL (COULING) After a very brief and brave battle with cancer, Beth passed away on October 10 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 65. Beth was born on June 29, 1949 in Brandon, Manitoba to Anne and Ed Couling. Beth was raised in Boissevain and graduated from Boissevain Collegiate before pursuing a degree in Education at Brandon University. On August 9, 1969 Beth married Murray McNeill, an RCMP officer; during the course of their life together, Beth and Murray were stationed throughout Manitoba. Now, after all their moves, and after marking 45 years of marriage this August, Murray must continue his journey without his dedicated partner. Beth was an amazingly devoted mom to daughters Kathie (Cameron MacIsaac) and Susan (Tyler Bindon) and was beyond thrilled to become a grandmother to her so very beloved granddaughter Emma Anne MacIsaac 11 years ago. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children and grandchild, and they are all blessed with so many happy memories of time spent in the garden, cooking, reading, and shopping with Mom and Grandma. Beth returned to Brandon University in the mid 1990s to get a Specialist degree in Psychology, focusing on gerontology and palliative care. She was an active volunteer for the Brandon Regional Health Authority's Palliative Care team. She was blessed with such caring medical staff during her time at the Grace Hospital and the family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to all of the nurses, doctors, palliative care staff, and especially to medical student Cory McFarlane for the kindness, care, and dedication they all showed during this difficult time. Donations in Beth's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrooke Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 A come and go reception will be held for Beth on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB. Beth's funeral will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. She will be interred in the RCMP Cemetery at Depot Division in Regina, Saskatchewan. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

I offer condolences to Beth's family in your loss of a tremendous woman. Beth offered volunteer time between 2001 and 2011 when she moved to Winnipeg. The majority of Beth's volunteer time was dedicated to palliative care visitation, as well she was an integral volunteer with the bereavement telephone support program. She will be missed. I met Beth while attending Brandon University. At times we were partners while completing assignments. She was a person that always remained as a friend even though we did not keep in touch but our paths have passed numerous times since our meeting at university. My sincere condolences to her family at this time of loss.....Beth will always be remembered.
