Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE LOIS MCLEOD (nee MCCULLOCH) October 3, 1932 October 11, 2014 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marjorie passed away peacefully in the company of her children on a sunny cloud-free Saturday morning. Her courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis never overshadowed her love for life and her family. Eternally optimistic and a fighter, Mom set a great example of strength and fortitude. Mom was predeceased by her husband Graham McLeod, parents Wallace and Jennie McCulloch and brother Donald. She is survived by her four children: Jane McLeod, Debbie Bergen (Wally), Don McLeod (Laura) and Ken McLeod (Kim). As a military wife Marjorie lived in Europe and most of the provinces in Canada, working and raising a close family. In retirement her grandchildren, garden, and travel were her passions. Articulate and well-read, Mom was curious and always interested current events. Mom was active in her church and the Rebekah Lodge, she was a gifted seamstress, enjoyed knitting, singing in choir, teaching Sunday school, volunteering at the library, and baking the oatmeal cookies and muffins that her grandchildren loved. Mom was our rock when we needed strength, our solace when we needed hugs, our glue when we needed to be made whole again and our map when we lost our way. She never judged, she defended us fiercely, and we always knew how much she loved us. Many thanks to the Palliative Care staff at Riverview Health Centre with a special thank you to Manivan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1P6. On Thursday, October 16, a celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn at 4000 Portage Ave. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Kymba (My Westie) and I were so fortunate to meet Marjorie when my mother was in the next room over in Riverview. What an awesome lady. As sick as she was... she still worried about how her children were coping. I am sure her journey is involving a lot of catching up with her father and her husband who were waiting for her with open arms. Plus, I am pretty sure my mother (Eleanor) had rolled out the red carpet for her. The love of her children kept her going every day. Beautiful lady! You are now able to take a deep breath Mrs. McLeod! You are loved by so many! Kymba and I send our love to Marjorie's family! - Posted by: Tracy Young (and Kymba) (Friend of Jane's) on: Oct 15, 2014

To Jane, Debbie, Don, Ken and families, On behalf of our Mother Colleen McLeod, we wish to express our deepest sympathies on the passing of your Mom. Your Mom was a great friend and confidante for our Mom these passing years. She enjoyed the several calls a day they made to each other and greatly missed them as they decreased this past couple of months. I am so glad they got to see each other this past May. You are in our thoughts! Love Char, Rob, Lorna, Chris and families - Posted by: Charlene Morrow (Cousin) on: Oct 14, 2014
