Marjorie was an important figure in my teen and early adult years. She was always energetic, warm and welcoming any time I came to "hang out" with Andrew (and often other friends) at the Treusch home on Agassiz drive. I recall with delight being nearby when a Blue Bomber game was on the television and she would lean forward and ask about what that play was, what that flag was for or just have a question that would leave Earl explaining and answering patiently with perhaps just a slight degree of exasperation at times, depending on the number of questions that had preceded the current one. I recall her loving, kind and supportive nature and her having a very strong moral compass. She made me feel I would never want to disappoint her and so I recall trying to always show my best side to her.
