Born: Feb 04, 1950
Date of Passing: Oct 13, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOLLEEN MARY GILL It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Colleen Mary Gill on Thanksgiving morning, Monday October 13, 2014. She gained freedom from her battle with MS at the age of 64. She was born February 4, 1950 to the late Art and Christina Hutchinson. Colleen was predeceased by her beloved husband Doug. Her memory will forever be cherished by her three loving sons; Kevin (Shelley), Jason and David (Monica). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jake, Jenna, Janaya and Juno. She will also be terribly and deeply missed by her sisters Geri Sinclair (Jim) and Debbie Saunders (Neil); also her sister-in-law Judy Reid, several nephews and nieces and her many friends at Tache Nursing Home. Colleen was a beautiful, fun-loving spirit, so full of personality and charm. She had a great work ethic and loved her job with Natural Resources, which unfortunately she had to give up due to poor health. She was always a loving, caring mother who enjoyed cheering on her boys in all their sports and endeavours. They were the center of her world, her greatest pride and joy. Our whole family is so greatly indebted to the absolutely wonderful, caring staff on 4DE at Tache for their compassionate care and support throughout Colleen's illness over the last several years. You are "angels on earth". Also, to Dr. P. Mehta, for your care and thoughtfulness, thank you. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Suite 100-1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg MB, R3T 1L8. A private family celebration of Colleen's life will be held at a later date. "You can shed tears that she is gone, or smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you could do what she would want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on." By David Harkins "Ma, You were the kindest and most caring person we've ever known. We can only try to show that to Jake, Jenna, Janaya and Juno. You will always be forever remembered and missed. Say hi to dad for us." Love, your Boys www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
