LARRY MELANSON 1930-2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Larry on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 84 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife Freda, his son-in-law Brian and numerous brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Penny, grandchildren Brian (Rochelle), Jennifer (Trevor), five great-grandsons Aaron, Nicholas, Ethan, Christian and Ryan and extended family and friends. Dad was born in New.Brunswick, and met the love of his life in the Jasper area. Eventually they moved to Montreal where they were blessed with the arrival of their only daughter Penny. The family settled in the Winnipeg area in the early 1960s. Dad was a chef for most of his life but had many talents including woodworking, millwork and drawing. Dad loved music, entertaining and spending time with family. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Larry's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctor's and staff at Deer Lodge Centre. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

So sorry to hear about Uncle Larry, I hadn't seen him in several years, but I remember my visits with my dad (Joe) to your parents house. There was always good food and a pinch on the cheek (how I hated that). Life sure does pass by so quickly, again my condolences.
