ANNA KENT It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother in her sleep on October 17, 2014. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 1981 and by her only grandchild Joseph Kent in 2005. Anna is survived by her two children Erwin Kent (Judy) and Eva Keith (Bob). In Austria, she will be remembered and mourned by her relatives Medi Plangger (Hans) and Karl Loidl (Erika) Born in Ebensee, Austria on October 12, 1924, Anna immigrated to Canada in 1955 with her two small children to join her husband in pursuit of a new life. This was a huge challenge due to the language barrier and not understanding the currency. Mom was a very caring woman whose family came first. She was a good wife, mother and friend. She worked as a housekeeper and nanny for many years raising two girls as if they were her own children. Special thanks to her good friend Josephine Koschak for visiting and tending to her needs and to the staff at Oakview Place. A Celebration of Anna's Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

  • Erwin and Eva. It is always sad to say goodbye to someone that we love. Your mom lived a long life and she is now at peace. Her time has come and she is in a better place. She is with her two Joes. Cherish your memories. They will stay with you forever. Hugs to you both. Joy - Posted by: Joy Humby (Daughter-in-law's sister.\) on: Oct 20, 2014
