LYDIA VOSS (HAAG) Lydia passed away peacefully October 18, 2014 at 91 years of age. She has gone home to be with her husband Carl who passed in 1993. She leaves to celebrate her life son Gary and wife Jan, grandchildren Rick Voss (Nichole), Darcy Voss, Tanya Zillmer, Sylvia Houle, step-grandchildren Sean (Alisa) Mashinter, Gord (Heather) Mashinter, great-grandchildren, Locklan, Sienna, Makayla, Maddison, and Kierran, brother-in-law Henry Machel (Marie), sister-in-law Lydia Haag, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom came to Canada from Poland in 1951 and married Dad in 1958. She lived in her family home for over 30 years tending to her home and garden. After Dad passed she moved to her retirement home where she resided for the next 20 years until her passing. She loved living in the complex where many friends and family members had moved to as well. Lydia always felt loved and cared for by those that lived there. Special thank you to all the staff at Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care of Mom and to Linda from home care for always caring about Mom. She really enjoyed seeing you each day. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Home, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
