Date of Passing: Oct 10, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEANOR THOMSON (nee HEMENWAY) It is with heavy hearts we announce that peacefully, with family by her side, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother Eleanor Faye Thomson (nee Hemenway) passed away at home in Winnipeg on Friday, October 10, 2014 at age 74. Her absence in their lives will be felt deeply by her husband Bill, children Howard, D'Anne (Wayne) and Robert (Karen) as well as her two grandchildren, Tyrus and Genet. Eleanor is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Lisa, two siblings Glenna and Moore and her parents Essie and Howard. Eleanor was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB and met the love of her life, Bill in 1955. Five years later they married, commencing Eleanor and Bill's beautiful 54 year journey together. Enriched by family and laughter, their life together teemed with numerous family trips in their motor home and over the last 10 years, a few cruises in the Caribbean. Thanks to her long time doctor, Dr. Haggert at Dakota Medical, to the staff at The Victoria General Hospital over the last few years, and recently Palliative Care for their kindness. According to Eleanor's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no service. Memorial donations to your favourite charity in Eleanor's honour will be greatly appreciated. "When a loved one becomes a memory, A memory becomes a treasure. Treasure the memories."
