As young men my husband Les and Stu were teammates on the St James Cobras and Mr and Mrs Nixon were both great supporters. They were still great supporters when Les and Stu reconnected years later at Oak Park High School when Stu asked Les to assist with coaching the Oak Park JV team. The Nixons invited me to spend a cold, wet football game enjoying the warmth of their van and their conversation. The way they welcomed and included a football girlfriend (and ultimately a football wife!) over the years will not be forgotten. Once on the Nixon "team" always on the Nixon "team". - Posted by: Tracy Howard (Family Friend) on: Oct 28, 2014

I couldn't always call Molly by her first name. For many years it was the proper Mrs. Nixon but then over time as our friendship grew, the formalities diminished. Molly's laughter was contagious and her love of her children was something to be admired. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all. - Posted by: Jo-Anne Allbutt (family friend) on: Oct 28, 2014

While Mrs. Nixon was a friend of my parents through membership in Kinsmen, I first met her when playing football for the Cobras with Stuart. Mr. Nixon was the team's number 1 supporter, while Mrs. Nixon would welcome a crowd young men into her home without reservation. She was a terrific lady and my life is better for knowing both Mr. and Mrs. Nixon. It's nice that they are together again. I guess 2 1/2 years apart was long enough. - Posted by: Jim Beatty (Family Friend) on: Oct 25, 2014
