DORINDA DAWN BOND It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dorinda on Thursday, October 16 at the age of 52. Dorinda will be deeply missed by her husband Ben Bond, parents Walter and Doreen Coubrough, and her two K-9 heroes and friends Rusty and Dasha. Ben's parents, Fred and Hannah Bond, predeceased her. A loving sister and aunt, Dorinda leaves to mourn her brother Marty and Nadine Coubrough, sisters Judy and Robert Rogers, and Wendy Bannister and also her many nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends. Born in Winnipeg, Dorinda was a kind and gentle soul who touched many people throughout her life. A friend to all, Dorinda was never hesitant to lend a helping hand or adopt a pet. Her zeal for life was ever present and she always saw the good in everyone. At the time of her passing, Dorinda was doing what she enjoyed most in life and was walking her two best friends, Rusty and Dasha. All who knew her will miss Dorinda with great sadness. A memorial service will take place on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). • We just heard about your tragedy and are so sad for you, Ben, to lose Dorinda, the love of your life. She was such a sweetheart. Never forget her planting flowers for me at Fool's - always willing to help and always smiling. Sunday breakfast at Roxy's was always a good event. Miss Fred too when I think of Sunday breakfast. You poor man - All alone with your two dogs, not right at your age. Dorinda was way too young. We are here for you any time. - Posted by: Kris & Terry Hockridge (Friends) on: Apr 13, 2015

  • I was so very shocked and sad to hear about Dorinda. She was always the smiling face in the crowd who always made you feel welcome and at ease. Wendy and Judy, it was wonderful that the three of you came out this spring and were able to visit with family members. I am sure I am not the only one who is grateful. You are all in my thoughts. - Posted by: Teresa (Hanna) Moore (cousin) on: Oct 29, 2014

  • My heart is heavy with sadness and disbelief. My sincere condolences to Ben, family and friends. Thinking of you all in this hard time having to endure such a great loss. My family and I have never had a conversation that included Dorinda without always mentioning her kind and caring nature. And of course her uncontrolable laugh at the worst times...like sneaking in her house at 2am with a bunch of us friends and telling us to BE QUIET then (she always ended up laughing). So sorry I am not able to attend the service although I will be there in spirit because I love and miss you. Heather Goodbye my friend, we'll meet again. It may be soon, it may be late. For us it's always, worth the wait. - Posted by: Heather Williams(Nott) (FRIEND) on: Oct 25, 2014

  • Dorinda was the kind of person that was always smiling with a happy disposition. I challanged her to a game of pool a long time ago and she beat the pants off me then she told me she had a pool table at home and played a lot (she husseled me) I always hoped to play her again. She is now and alway will be undefeated.God be with you and your family my prayers go out to all. - Posted by: Bob Phaneuf (Coworker) on: Oct 25, 2014
