Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILLIE (BABA) ROJESKI Mom passed away peacefully on October 26, 2014 at the Red River Personal Care Home at the age of 89 years. Mom was a wonderful and loving person and will always be remembered by her children Elizabeth (Bob) Nieman, Edward (Elsie) Rojeski and Mary Anne Rojeski; grandchildren, Evelyn (Mark) Krahn, Cheryl (Tim) Lee and Bobby (Margo) Nieman, and four great-grandchildren Spencer, Carsen, Hudson and Gavin. She also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews, as well as her good friends, Mike Walchuk, Wayne Campbell and Don Bond. Millie was predeceased by her husband Frank on March 2, 1985; her brothers Joseph, Roger, Kasimir, Tony, Frank and Ed Turcan, and sisters Ann Verkendt, Helen Verplaetse, Lena Anderson and Stella Belot. Mom was born on May 17, 1925 to Joseph and Mary Turcan in St. Boniface, MB. She was a hardworking person who enjoyed looking after her children and working beside Dad on the family farm. They retired to Gimli in 1980. She moved to Teulon in 2008 and finally to Red River Personal Care Home in Selkirk. In Gimli, she pursued her favourite activities like curling, bowling, darts and playing cards. She was a longtime member of the CWL and the Horizon Club in Gimli and took part in the choir and all associated activities. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli, Manitoba. The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Teulon Hospital and the staff who were so caring at the Red River Personal Care Home in Selkirk. Auntie Millie was the last of my father's siblings. I will always remember my childhood Easter's at her family farm home. She was a warm conciliatory person who we will remember fondly.
