JOYCE MAE BARRON (nee KOUK) Sadly on October 25, 2014 at the Concordia Hospital, Joyce Mae Barron passed away at the age of 84, with her family by her side. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Terri (Marvin) Klos and Bridget; two sons Ron and Warren (Helen); four grandchildren, Ryan (Shye) Klos, Robert (Nikki) Klos, Kelly Klos (Dave Larkins) and Derek Barron as well as five great-grandchildren, Sadie, Amy, Jason, Lily and Courtney. She is survived by one sister Patricia (Charles) L'Esperance, and three brothers Bob, Fred (Veronica) and Tom; brother-in-law Ed Barron and sisters-in-law Merle Roberts and Ellie Kouk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by Gylen, her husband of 42 years, her parents Evelyn and William, brothers, Richard and Jim, sister-in-laws Nettie Barron, Margaret Kouk and Rose Kouk. Joyce was born in Winnipeg June 17, 1930 and married the love of her life, Gylen, on September 22, 1951. She spent most of her life in East St. Paul where she enjoyed raising her family and hosting many large family gatherings. Many enjoyable days and friendships were shared at Lee River and Ophir. After Dad's passing in 1994, Mom struggled with her own health issues but always had a smile. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held November 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion of Mom in her final days as well as all the home care workers and neighbors who cared for her over the last several years.
