RAYMOND KENNETH BARTON On October 29, 2014, Raymond Kenneth Barton, aged 58 years, passed away suddenly but peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. Ray was not working at the time of his death due to health, but worked various labour positions all his life, the longest being his over 20 years at MacDon Industries, which he fondly spoke of. Ray was predeceased by his mother Dorothy in 2009 and his father Daniel in 1969. He will be deeply missed and was loved by his daughters Dawn, Colleen and Danielle. He is also survived by brother George (Eleanor) and sister Debbie (Joe), along with nieces Joanne, Wendy, and Jasmine and nephews Wade and Greg. Ray was fondly given the nick name as "The Bear" by friends and was a kind and gentle man. Ray struggled emotionally throughout his life but he found his greatest strength from his girls Colleen and Danielle. They were always there for their Dad. Sadly one of Ray's deepest regrets was not reconnecting with his oldest, but not less loved daughter Dawn. As per Ray's request cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Family is gathering for a graveside committal at the Windsor Cemetery on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. (turn left and go 1 mile west off #7 Hwy. and Road 91 North just before Teulon), friends are welcome to join us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME STONEWALL, MB 204-467-2525
