Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARLENE LILLIAN MARY MUIR Arlene Lillian Mary (Stower) Muir, aged 76 of MacGregor, MB, lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014. She was born in Edmonton, AB on March 9, 1938. Arlene lived her early years in Edmonton, AB, Moose Jaw, SK and finished her education at Weyburn, SK. She met Bruce Richard Muir in 1956 and they married on January 30, 1957. They continued to make their home in Weyburn until 1962 when they moved to the Muir Family Farm south of MacGregor. Farming did not work out for them so they moved into town. Mom worked for the MacGregor Bakery and Dad for the Department of Highways. Later Mom worked for Lamb's Solo Store and later for Clare Tarr until the Solo Store once again changed ownership. Mom then became a homemaker; she also enjoyed volunteering, knitting, crocheting and most of all anything she could do for her family. Mom loved her precious family most of all and she showed that love through her actions, cooking, cleaning, making anything requested, babysitting her grandchildren and when she could, her great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by us all. Arlene was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Bruce; father Leonard; mother Lillian; sister Catherine, and brothers Leonard, Dennis and Kenneth. She leaves to mourn daughter Joann (Cam) Asher, grandchildren Rick (Jen), David (Lisa), great-grandchildren Taylor and Cody; daughter Carolyn (Trevor) Neustater, granddaughter Candace (Mike) Schroeder, great-grandchildren Wynter, Quinton and Xavier, grandson Michael Neustater; son Doug (Elaine), grandchildren Amber (Ryan) Bilinski, great-grandchildren Jordan and Jaina, Clayton (Rebecca) Taylorson, and great-grandchildren Bailey, Jayla and Londyn. Also surviving are two sisters Lorraine (Siggy) Bayda of Calgary, AB and Marguerite Randal of Sudbury, ON; one brother Don (Brenda) Lamb of North Battleford, SK as well as several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clarke's Funeral Chapel, MacGregor. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacGregor United Church with Sarah Bruer officiating. Interment will follow at the MacGregor Cemetery.
