Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUILLERMO APILADO MANGAWANG (LOLO ELMO) Our charismatic Lolo Elmo was born on June 25, 1926. After a short courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully on November 8, 2014 at the Parkview Place Nursing Home, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was 88 years old. Lolo Elmo is survived by his loving children, Carmen, Rolly, and Celia; his warmhearted grandchildren Michael, Laura (Meme), Lori-Anne, Mark and Krystle and his adorable great-grandchildren Isaiah, Brayden, Noah, Malayah, Pierce and Alice. Lolo Elmo is preceded in death by his devoted wife Nanay Laura (2007) and his son Rey (1998). Lolo Elmo had many other relatives that cherished him especially Paul, Remy Del Pilar Mangawang, Remedios Aquino Mangawang, Steve Woolward, Leenah Mangawang, Allan Presto, and Alan Brogdon. In addition, the prayers and love Lolo Elmo received from Leo Andan, Hermie Andan and Fr Dado Parrenas was treasured in his time of illness and will forever be remembered. A special show of gratitude and appreciation also goes out to the nurses, health care aides and doctors at Parkview Place Nursing home, Seven Oaks Hospital and Grace Hospital for the treatment they exhibited towards our Lolo Elmo for the duration of time he was under their care. Lamay will take place, Wednesday and Thursday November 12 and 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 365 Burnell Street. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Rest In Peace Tatay Elmo. Now you will enjoy the lovely family reunion with Nanay Laura and Rey in eternity. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
