NORMAN MIKOLUFF Norman Mikoluff passed away suddenly on November 7, 2014 at the age of 73. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Bertha (nee Naurocki), and daughters Crystal and Kimberly, both of Winnipeg. He is survived by his brothers John (Catherine) and Rudy (Bernice), and in-laws Betty (nee Tokarz), Roy and Sharon Naurocki, Wade and Cathy Naurocki, and Bruce and Tracy Modrzejewski, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Norman was predeceased by his parents Louis and Carrie (nee Mazur), brothers Walter and Bernest, father-in-law Wilbert Naurocki, and sister-in-law Sharon Worona (nee Naurocki). Norman was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Winnipeg on May 19, 1941, and grew up on the family farm in Lowlands, MB. In 1956 he moved to Winnipeg to study graphics at Tec Voc High School. He married Bertha in 1970, and they settled in Lockport, MB a few years later. He worked for many years in Winnipeg as a lithographer. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, gardening, and in his younger years - spending many family summer vacations at Lake of the Woods, taking numerous fishing trips, and family road trips throughout Canada and the US. In retirement, which he loved very much, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to his brother-in-law Roy, on the family farm. He was also an avid family history buff, and spent much of his retirement working on the "never quite finished" family history book. In 2006, his research even included the trip of a lifetime to the family's home village in the Ukraine, with his daughter Kim. A life cut too short, he will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Norman's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one's choice. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East in Beausejour, MB. • I too was shocked to hear of Norman's passing. He was a great friend of my late Grandmother Mildred Danko. He would bring her fresh vegetables from his garden or drive her to the airport so that she could visit family in her later years. I can truly say he was a helping, caring person who will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to his family. - Posted by: Ken Danko (Friend) on: Dec 06, 2014

  • Kim and Crystal, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Your father was far too young and vibrant to have his life cut short. The obit mentioned he liked to help.
