RETINELLA FENDER February 6, 1923 - November 4, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mom will be remembered by her daughters Enid and Paulett, her son Neville, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by many in her church community and friends across the city. She was predeceased by her husband Austin, her daughters Lynette (Queenie) and Daisy, her sisters Yphey and Mama, and brother Byron. Mom was born in St. Andrews, Jamaica and immigrated to Winnipeg in the 1960s. She had a real zest for life and was always ready to help those in need. She was a born again Christian, not only in name but her life exemplified it. She enjoyed worshipping the Lord in her singing, Exhortation, dancing in the spirit and giving to his work. Mom enjoyed reading, singing, sewing and volunteering. Her sense of humour, her love for the Lord and her dancing in the spirit will be forever in our hearts. A big thank you to the staff on the second floor of Lions Manor Personal Care Home for their tender and loving care for mom. Viewing will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Victory Church of God, 397 Dalton St. A celebration of the life of Mother Fender will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10.00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Officiating Ministers: Rev.
