EDITH M. SHIELLS (nee LUNDSTROM) Edith M. Shiells (nee Lundstrom) with grace, courage and dignity, so as she lived, has passed on November 8, 2014. Mom was the last of the 10 Lundstrom pioneers that carved a life out of the Interlake region. She was born in 1922 in a log home in the Clydebank District. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert (Gib) of 52 years. Edie leaves behind three children: Barbara (Brian), Jim (Mary) and Dean (Glenda); her grandchildren Terri (Dan), Janice (Dave), Kristy (Ed), Colin (Suz), Ian (Jennifer), Stuart, and Terryn (Jeremy). She will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren Alexa, Ethan, Breanna, Connor, Landon, Aiden, and Drew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Catherine Place and Bethania Care Home for their kind care. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0S6, or a charity of your choice.
