Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION DORA (MINNIE) STOCKI (nee SWAIGLER) February 2, 1916 - November 7, 2014 Peacefully, at the age of 98, Minnie passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1982, they were married for 43 years; her parents Mary and Stephen Swaigler; her brother Michael "Midge" Swaigler; her great-grandchildren Tyler Boonstra, Natasha Boonstra, and Emily Eternal Rose Bowcott. Left to cherish precious memories are her children: daughter Valerie "Bunny" (Bill) Kuz; grandson Bill (Diane) Kuz, great-granddaugthers Karlee and Kristee, grandson Michael Kuz great grandson Michael Jr., granddaughter Kathy (Kirby) Stav and granddaughter Kayla, grandson Steven (Kellie) Kuz, great-grandson Matthew, great-granddaughter Logann, grandchildren Jessica and Joe Smith; daughter June (Edd) Schellenberg; granddaughter Wendy (Chris) Bowcott, great-grandsons Dylon and Jesse, granddaughter Angela Bowcott, granddaughter Patricia Bowcott, great granddaughters Erynn, Tara (Chris) Meilleur, and Tori MacLaurin; son Lary (Mary Lou) Stocki; granddaughter Lorie (Michael) Rempel, great-grandson Connor and great-granddaughter Nicole; grandson Rick Stocki. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Alice Swaigler and nephew Neil Swaigler of Fountain Valley, California and Trisha St. Jean, a close friend, who was like a daughter to Mom. Minnie grew up and resided in Winnipeg's North End. She enjoyed gardening and had plenty of beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, family gatherings where her holopchi and perogies were unsurpassed; never missed a day without feeding the birds; loved her dogs and all animals; playing bingo; attending racetrack; and going to the Grand Beach/Balsam Bay cottages where she fished off the pier for hours with her beloved Tyler. She will be greatly remembered for her GIVING and her SINGING. Mom had a wonderful voice and sang in her church choir. Pallbearers will be Bill Kuz Sr., Bill Kuz Jr., Michael Kuz Jr., Rick Stocki, Patricia Bowcott and Gordon Bohrson. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Misericordia Place for their compassionate care. Celebration of Minnie's Life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Misericordia Place, 44 Furby Street. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Minnie's memory to Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or The Winnipeg Humane Society. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Words cannot express how much my Baba meant to me. She is the cornerstone of our family, and the most important thing in this world.
