Gérald Gagnon, Ottawa - Posted by: Gérald Gagnon (2nd cousin of Clovis) on: Nov 16, 2014

  • I had the privilege of working with Clovis at Leisure Time Centre on St. James St. and later at Leisure Time Marine on Inkster Blvd. Clovis had come to work at Leisure Time Centre in either the fall of 1972 or early 1973. He was a welcome addition to the new marine as he brought a wealth of experience to the team. The original Team consisted of Bill Frank (General Manager) John Neufeld (Service and Parts Manager)Clovis (Head Outboard Mechanic) and myself Paul Tilley as the new and very green (Salesman. It was great that Clovis came on board because he was the only one with outboard motor mechanical experience. We worked together for 3 years and we always had a good time. Clovis has a great sense of humor was the first person I ever heard use the phrase Tabernac when things weren't going the way they should. We always had a good laugh when we heard it. As well and being a great mechanic he was also a great man that was always ready to help you when you needed it. Clovis was a great man and I have thought of him often and I will always remember him. My condolences to his family he will be missed but never forgotten. Paul Tilley - Posted by: Paul Tilley (Co-worker) on: Nov 15, 2014
